Aloha County Council Members,
We strongly support Bi11365, which would prohibit smoking at Kahalu'u Beach Pazk. The park is a
treasure and very heavily used. The second hand smoke is a problem in such a populaz, high use azea.
Also, many smokers use the beach sand as an ashtray. I have seen kids cleaning up the beach and
collecting hundreds of butts. In addition to being unsightly, the butts and associated chemicals will
eventually wind up in the ocean, causing problems for our marine life.
Please accept this as written testimony in support of Bi11365.
