RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO
A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the United States Environmental Protection Agency passed a law which
states that all existing large capacity cesspools were to be closed by Apri15, 2005; and
WHEREAS, Dennis Tulang, from Oahu, has been assisting the County of Hawaii
for the past four years with disconnecting residential homes from large capacity cesspools,
and for the past year, his services has been at no charge; and
WHEREAS, given that Mr. Tulang has generously volunteered his time and knowledge
to assist the homeowners in Council District 3, all travel and meal expenses incurred while
assisting with this project were paid for by the County through Council District 3 discretionary
funds; and
WHEREAS, $1,500 was appropriated on May 17, 2006, via Resolution 361-06,
however, additional funds are needed so that Mr. Tulang may continue to assist the many
homeowners that are still connected to a large capacity cesspool;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set
forth below:

010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $2,000.00
CREDITED TO:
010.101.5101.02 Clerk-Council SVC - OCE $2,000.00

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to
make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
