Good morning Mc Chairman and members of the Public Works Committee.
My name is Margaret Pahio, President of Business Services Hawaii and I come before you in
support of Bill No.36, the administration's proposed changes w the County's code dealing with
solid waste tipping fees. Needless to say I am in favor of this bill. I personally last month
experienced this 10% late fee and felt like the hole I've been trying to climb out of in these
sluggish economic times just got deeper and darker. I applaude these changes and only hope that
you may he able to also add in that they be retroactive. I know every entity using the landfills will
be grateful for these changes be it the State, rubbish haulers such as myself, wnstruction cos..
small business owners and the genera] public.
