As a result, the YMCA is awarding $16,000 to the Hawaii County's Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, which has agreed to receive the funds on behalf of the Pahoa Weed and Seed group, to facilitate execution of community drug-free and drug education activities. The funds will be used fora "Get High On Life' event at Pahoa High and Intermediate schools and to expand it by increasing the number of providers of after-school activities and by organizing a similar events at Pahoa Elementary School at the local Charter Schools Enclosed is a resolution to authorize the receipt and expenditure of the YMCA's award of $16,000 and a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this award.
