Dear Chairman Hoffmann and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to inform you that I have appointed Ronald Wagner-Wright, Ph.D., of
Council District 3 to the County of Hawaii Mayor's Committee on People With
Disabilities. Dr. Wagner-Wright is a 22-year resident of Hawaii. He discloses that in
2002 he became totally blind caused by Lebers Optic Hereditary Neuropathy. Prior to
that, from 2000 to 2002, he was a professor at Chaminade University.
Dr. Wagner-Wright is a board member of the State of Hawaii Guide Dog Foundation, a
board member of SOJCF, Homeless Children's Education Program, Muntinlupa City,
Philippines, and a past board member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Hilo. He states
that he is not affiliated with any political party. Dr. Wagner-Wright will serve a term to
expire on December 31, 2008.
