Dear Councilman Brenda Ford,
We are writing in reference to Bill 220 and Bill 221 regarding rezoning of
3.2 acres in Keonepoko from agriculture to urban and allowing applicant,
Timothy Lynn Gardner, to build a storage facility on the site.
We respectfully request that you delay this decision until Puna Community
Development committee complete their work so economic development in Puna
can be done in a controlled and orderly manner, helping to maintain its
pristine beauty, which is what sets Puna apart from many other areas in the
state.
We recently purchased property in Orchid land and currently looking to
purchase a home in the Puna area for retirement. What attracts us and many
others to Puna is the rural character and natural beauty of the region;
haphazard development without a plan is inadvisable and is not in the best
interest of Puna.
Sincerely Yours
Aj it & Orly Dias
