I am against bill 220 because:
CDP public input to date is clear that development should not be encouraged on main highways for
safety reasons and because Puna residents wish to more carefully plan development off highways where
it has the least negative impact while serving the needs of the community. Rezoning of ag land in this
case would allow development and is not for the majority public good.
It is inappropriate to do non-urgent rezoning of this type until completion of the CDP, when further
clarification of the public's needs and desires will be available.
