RESOLUTION NO. '8 ~
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the American Legion is an organization of wartime veterans created by an
act of the United States Congress in 1919 with its membership being composed of veterans of all
wars; and
WHEREAS, the American Legion Kona Post 20 Womens' Auxiliary coordinate and
host meetings, prepare educational materials, public announcements, special recognition
presentations, organize members' participation and arrange transportation to and from veteran
memorial services; and
WHEREAS, discretionary funds from Council District 8 for $3,000.00 will be
appropriated and used to help the American Legion Kona Post 20 Womens' Auxiliary defray
costs of performing this much needed service to the Kona community; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred and appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Liquor Control and the Director of Finance and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
