RESOLUTION NO. 54 ~
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF THREE (3) BUSES FOR
THE COUNTY MASS TRANSIT AGENCY
WHEREAS, the City and County of Honolulu has transferred three (3) buses to Hawaii County; and
WHEREAS, the buses will allow the Mass Transit Agency to expand routes and provide public
transportation for Hawaii County; and
WHEREAS, the total estimated value of this donation is $5,715; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WHEREAS, the Mass Transit Agency recommends the acceptance of this donation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii
accepts this donation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to Mayor Mufi Hannemann, City and
County of Honolulu, 530 South King Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813, acknowledging this generous donation.
