Dear Chairman Hoffmann and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to inform you that I have nominated Reiko Ford of Council District 7 to
the County of Hawaii Tax Board of Review. Ms. Ford is a six-year resident of Hawaii.
From 1970 to 2000 she was employed by the Miami Valley Regional Planning
Commission as an accountant. She is a volunteer with VASH (Visitors Aloha Society of
Hawaii), and is a local tax aide coordinator for AARP. Ms. Ford states that she is not
affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, she will serve a term to end on
December 31, 2011, replacing Mr. Michael B. Sumja, whose term expired on
December 31, 2006.
