Dear Chairman Hoffmann and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to inform you that I have appointed Phyllis Tarail of Council District 1, to
the County of Hawaii Highway Safety Council. Ms. Tarail is a 5-year resident of Hawaii.
From 1981 to 2001 she was employed by the State of California as a Disability
Insurance Specialist. She is a member of the Kukuihaele Community Association, the
North Hawaii Drug-Free Coalition, Power of Choice -Hamakua, the Hamakua Safety
Council, the Honokaa Business Association, and she is a North Hawaii Hospice
volunteer.
Ms. Tarail states that she is a member of the Democratic Party. She will serve a term
co-terminus with my own.
