RESOLUTION NO. '72
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDTTING SAME TO
A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, Kealakehe Project Grad is a community based non-profit organization
comprised of Kealakehe High School students and their families, school staff and alumni, and
local businesses and organizations; and
WHEREAS, the mission of Kealakehe Project Grad is to promote safe driving and
camaraderie for the Kealakehe High School graduating seniors and to provide afun-filled,
drug and alcohol free celebration with food, entertainment and activates; and
WHEREAS, objectives of Kealakehe Project Grad are to educate students and
families about the consequences of drug and alcohol use and impaired driving, and ensure a
safe and healthy alternative to the traditional graduation "party-hopping" that usually involves
drinking, drugs and driving; and
WHEREAS, discretionary funds from Council District 8 will be used to help fund
Kealakehe Project Grad, and defray some of the cost and expenses associated with the event;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`i that
the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $6,000
CREDITED TO:
010.251.5251.39 Department of Liquor Control $6,000
Public Programs, Misc. Contract Services

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Liquor Control and the Director of Finance and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms
of this resolution.
