RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLIITION AIITHORIZING THE ERTENSION OF THE PIIBLIC SEWER TO
RIILANA STREET FOR HILO ONE, INC. AT 8IL0, HAWAI I
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
WHEREAS, applicant Hilo One, Inc. has requested to extend
the sewer in accordance with Section 21-26, Hawaii County
Code; and
WHEREAS, applicant Hilo One, Inc. has proposed to comply
with Section 21-28(a), Hawaii County Code regarding payment of
costs; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Environmental Management has
recommended approval of the extension; and
WHEREAS, Attachment "A" is an application from Hilo One,
Inc. with construction plans as supporting documentation; and
WHEREAS, sewer extensions are beneficial to the community
by eliminating existing cesspools and reducing the amount of
pollutants reaching the groundwater and the coastal waters,
resulting in a cleaner, healthier environment; and
WHEREAS, Section 21-26, Hawaii County Code, requires that
the council approve all sewer extensions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that the sewer extension to Kulana Street for
Hilo One, Inc. is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of
Hawaii transmits copies of this resolution to the Departments
of Finance, Public Works and Environmental Management.
