SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT
EXTENDING DIRECTOR'S TEMPORARY AUTHORITY TO MAKE ;
TRAFFIC CONTROL CHANGES FOR AN ADDITIONAL 90 DAYS
There have been occasions when the current 90 day period to effectuate the provisions of an
amendment to this chapter has been insufficient. For example, when the loading zones were
being established along Alii Drive between Palani Street and Hualalai Road, the amendment
process exceeded 90 days.
This amendment will allow the Director of Public Works to continue with the process of
effectuating the provisions of an amendment to this chapter when scheduling or other unforeseen
circumstances extend the 90 day period without obtaining an extension from the County Council.
We ask for your review and consideration for adoption of the subject amendment. Should you
