Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate the following named people to the Hawaii County
Veterans Advisory Committee:
• Jack A. Kondo - 442nd
• Mabel W. De Silva - Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)
• George H. Yamamoto - Hilo Interpreters Club
• Denise B. Nakanishi - Hawaii Island Women Veterans
Association
Please note that each of these nominees were recommended to serve as
representatives of their respective organizations. Also, Mrs. De Silva and
Mr. Yamamoto are incumbents being recommended for reappointment.
If approved, Mr. Kondo, Mrs. De Silva and Mr. Yamamoto will serve terms to end
December 31, 2001. Mrs. Nakanishi will serve the unexpired term of the
vacated Special Forces Association position which will end on December 31,
1997.
