Dear Chairman Hoffmann and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Kelly Y. Kurakazu of Council District 4 to the Hawaii
County Liquor Adjudication Board. Mr. Kurakazu is a 48-year resident of Hawaii. Since
1979 he has been employed by the State of Hawaii, as a School Food Service Manager
at Kapiolani School.
Mr. Kurakazu recently served as a member of the Liquor Commission. His term expired
in December, 2006. He states that he is not affiliated with any political party. If
confirmed, he will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2011.
