Dear Chairman Hoffmann and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Ms. Kim Tavares of Council District 6 to the County
of Hawaii Board of Appeals. Ms. Tavares is a 31-year resident of Hawaii. She
is presently employed by the Fern Forest Community Association as a
bookkeeper. From 1996 to 2004, she was employed by the Big Island Invasive
Species Committee as a Data Manager.
Ms. Tavares is a member of the Puna Community Development Plan Steering
Committee. She states that she is not affiliated with any political party. If
confirmed, she will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2011.
