Subject: Big island Big Box Stores
Dear Council Members,
As challenging a situation as we have on the Big Island regarding sustainability the last thing we need is Super
Stores with grocery sections.
We need to support our local farmers, particularly those making the extra effort to provide wholesome, organic
produce by shopping at our existing local stores. If we let the Super Centers take over the grocery marketplace
we will see less diversity and even more outside unfair competition for Hawaii farmers.
