Subject: please vote NO on Bill 220
Rezoning to allow development in this location should not be approved. Please send
a message that you respect the goal to strive for better commercial development
planning and site location than along a major road way where safety and visual
character of the community would be compromised by the passing of this bill.
Past development mistakes and ongoing non-code activities are not justification
to perpetuate ill-advised decisions. The public has come out strong against this
specific proposal. In addition, the public has been asked to voice their opinions
and desires for the future of Puna via the Community Development Plan and changes
such as this rezoning application should be deferred until the plan is completed.
