Subject: SUPPORT 2% land fund/ 2-7-07 Kona County Council
Dear Councilpeople,
I support these measures:
*Placing 2% of the property taxes (including interest and penalties) twice per year into the Land Fund.
*Placing all monies in the fund in a conservative interest bearing account.
*Prorating money from November 8th (when the bill became law} to December 31 and placing it in the fund
immediately--about $1.6 million for the 54 days in 2006 that the 2% was law.
