Aloha Chair Hoffinan and Council Members!
As you might guess, I am fully supportive of requiring mandatory glass container recycling by
restaurants and bars, as the Environmental Management Committee has urged this concept for quite a
long time, now. The year that I was chair, 2006, we talked about it in depth, and am very supportive of
Councilman Jacobson's decision to get the resolution before you.
I urge you to follow his lead and get this one the books, so that we can begin mandating more
recycling to save our landfills.
