Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred
Resolution 37-07, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 37-07, transmitted by Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase, via Communication No. 98,
dated January 11, 2007, asks for the abandonment and sale of remnants of land at Ahualoa Homesteads,
Ahualoa, District of Hamakua, County and State of Hawaii, being portions of Tax Map Key: (3) 4-6-009,
008 and Kahana Drive.
The resolution was presented by Corporation Counsel Lincoln Ashida and David Lacey, attorney for the
adjacent land owner. Gerald Takase was absent on military leave. A map was used to illustrate and
explain that the adjacent land owners wanted to acquire the triangular shaped lots to add to their acreage.
Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Resolution 37-07, and recommends its adoption.
