No. 123Bi11 No. 32 PLACE: Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort and Spa 78-128 `Ehukai Street Kailua-Kona, Hawaii TIME: 2:15 p.m. Council Chair and Members Hawaii County Council Hilo, Hawaii 96720 Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 32, reports as follows: Bill No. 32, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 48-07 by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication No. 123, dated January 23, 2007, amends Ordinance No. 06-79, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2007. The amendment is as follows: From: 3303.95 Federal Grants - Pahoa Get High General $16,000.00 on Life Grant To: 010.271.5271.74 Pahoa Get High on Life Grant General $16,000.00 The Pahoa Weed and Seed Project has been approved to receive Federal Project Safe Neighborhood fending through the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) of Honolulu. The YMCA is generously awazding these funds to the Hawaii County Office of Prosecuting Attorney on behalf of the Pahoa Weed and Seed group, to facilitate execution of community drug-free and drug education activities. These funds will be used fora "Get High On Life" event at Pahoa High and Intermediate schools to expand by increasing the number of providers ofafter-school activities and by organizing a similar events at Pahoa Elementary School at the local charter schools. Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(b), Hawaii County Charter, the Mayor is hereby authorized to apply for, receive and expend the funds for a Victim Services program.
