Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 50-07, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 50-07, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication
No. 126, dated Januazy 23, 2007, authorizes the payment of funds for more than one fiscal yeaz
for the lease of one (1) D7 Bulldozer for the Depaztment of Environmental Management Solid
Waste Division. This D7 bulldozer is needed to maintain operations at the West Hawaii
Landfill.
The Department of Public Works Administration Office wishes to enter into afive-year lease
contract with purchase options for one (1) D7 bulldozer. The funding for this lease is included
within the current fiscal yeaz's budget.
Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawaii County Charter, any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal yeaz must be approved by a
resolution.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 50-07
and recommends its adoption.
