Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 51-07, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 51-07, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication
No. 127 dated January 23, 2007, authorizes the payment of funds for more than one fiscal year
for the lease of one (1) boom truck for the Department of Environmental Management Solid
Waste Division. This boom truck, needed for the Kona Solid Waste Base yazd, is used to safely
move heavy items.
The Department of Public Works Administration Office wishes to enter into afive-yeaz lease
contract with purchase options for one (1) boom truck. The funding for this lease is included
within the current fiscal year's budget.
Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawaii County Charter, any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year must be approved by
resolution.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 51-07
and recommends its adoption.
