Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 52-07, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 52-07, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication
No. 128, dated January 23, 2007, authorizes the payment of funds for more than one fiscal yeaz
for the lease of one (1) D6 Bulldozer for the Department of Environmental Management Solid
Waste Division. This D6 bulldozer is needed for the sliver fill operations at the South Hilo
Sanitary Landfill.
The Department of Public Works Administration Office wishes to enter into afive-yeaz lease
contract with purchase options for one (1) D6 bulldozer. The funding for this lease is included
within the current fiscal year's budget.
Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawaii County Chazter, any contract, lease or other obligation
requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal yeaz must be approved by a
resolution.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 52-07
and recommends its adoption.
