RESOLUTION NO. 8S O'~
RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND
FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Neighborhood Place of Puna is the lead agency of the Puna "Ready to
Learn" community collaboration; and
WHEREAS, "Ready to Learn" is a statewide project with the goal of providing
Hawai`i's children with the basic school supplies to get a jump start on learning; and
WHEREAS, in 2006, school supplies were purchased and distributed to approximately
1,000 children at the Maku`u Farmers Market and at St. Theresa's Church in Mountain View;
and
WHEREAS, this year the goal is to purchase and distribute school supplies for 3,000
children in Pahoa, Kea`au and Mountain View; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC-Contingency Relief $2,000
CREDITED TO:
010.271.5271.66 Prosecuting Attorney's Office $2,000
Weed & Seed -Coordinator/CTY
(Neighborhood Place of Puna)
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Prosecuting Attorney's Oftice and the Dlrcctvr of Finance and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers iti accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
