Your Committee on Finance, to which was refen•ed Resolution No. 59-07, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 59-07, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication
No. 146, dated January 25, 2007, authorizes the acceptance of a donation of three (3) buses for
the County Mass `T'ransit Agency from the City and County of Honolulu.
Thomas Brown, Director of Mass Transit Agency, clazified that the donation is for all shipping
chazges in the amount of $5;15.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Sectioh 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to the Mayor Mufi Hannemann, City and County of
Honolulu at 530 South King Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813, acknowledging this generous
donation.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 59-07
and recommends its adoption.
