Serving the lnleresls oj(he People of Our Island Hawaii County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer HSEDC-3 Page 2 March 20, 2007 Comm. 187: APPOINTMENT OF ANDREA MEJIA, JANET COBURN AND CHARMAINE KA-IPO TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII MAYOR'S COMMITTEE ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN From Mayor Hazry Kim, dated February 9, 2007, informing the Council he has appointed the following individuals to the County of Hawaii Mayor's Committee on the Status of Women: Ms. Andrea Mejia of Council District 3 is a life-long resident of Hawai `i. She is a retired Police Detective/Sergeant from the Hawai `i County Police Department and is presently the coordinator of both the Social Ministry and the Bereavement Committee at St. Theresa's Catholic Church. Ms. Mejia states that she is affiliated with the Democratic Party. She will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2010. Ms. Janet Coburn of Council District 1 is a 24-year resident of Hawai `i. She is the Managing Director of the Kahilu Theatre Foundation. Ms. Coburn states that she is not affiliated with any political party. This term, which is a reappointed term_from December 2006, will expire on December 31, 2010. Ms. Charmaine Ka-ipo of Council District 5 is a life-long resident of Hawai `i. She is the Manager of Employee Training Services at the Arc of Hilo. Ms. Ka-ipo states that she is not affiliated with arty political party. This term, which is a reappointed term from December 2006, will expire on December 31, 2010. (Note: These appointments do not require Council approval.) Notice to Lobbyists: You must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five (5) days of becoming a lobbyist {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(b), Hawaii County Code}. A lobbyist means "any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials." {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a)(6), Hawaii County Code}.
