Re: Monetary Gift to the Hawaii Fire Department
Enclosed is a resolution accepting a monetary gift of $3,661.05 to the Hawaii Fire
Department from the Gregg Malkin Memorial Foundation. Glenn and Donna Malkin wishes
to recognize the tireless efforts and the compassion they witnessed during the life-
threatening attempts of the Hawaii Fire Department's rescue team to rescue their son, Gregg
Malkin, who perished in a drowning accident at the King's Landing, the day after
Thanksgiving Day. The Malkin Family, of 24938 Lorena Drive, Calabasas, California 91302,
are very committed to making a difference through their monetary gift to honor their son's
memory. The funds will be used for the purchase of thermal gear for the rescue team.
Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating an
additional $3,661.05 to Fire's Rescue Equipment -Private account.

To recognize the tireless and heroic efforts of th Hawaii Fire Department's rescue team to rescue their son,

are donating funds to purchase thermal gear for he rescue personnel. The funds are being received from
the Gregg Malkin Memorial Fund which is under the umbrella of the Daniel Robert Sayre Memorial Fund.
