These funds will be used to support additional tourism product offerings on Hawaii Island, which do not generally fit in the County Product Enrichment Program. Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this additional $100,000 into the Product Enrichment (Development) Program's account and bringing the total grant appropriation to $600,000. These funds aze available to you to support those projects which help to improve your tourism product offerings but which do not generally fit under the ongoing County Product Enrichment Program. We will be drafting up a contract for your consideration that details the program's objectives and criteria. All or portions of these funds may be soli-contracted to other organizations as needed. Additionally, you are allowed to utilize up to 15% of tjle awazd for administrative costs associated with this program.
