SUBJECT: BILL 180 $40 MILLION BOND FLOAT
In response to a February 26, 1998 memo from Councilman Yagong, the following cost
information is provided.
I. East Hawaii Landfill Closure, MRF & Lone Haul Transfer Station:
Hilo Sanitary Landfill Closure: $7,000,000
MRF & Long Hau] Transfer Station:
Master Planning: $200,000
Environmental Assessment: $100,000
Facility & Infrastructure Upgrade Design $200,000
Construction * * : $2,700,000
Construction Management: $200,000
Truck Tractors & Long Haul Trailers: $1,600,000
Total $12,000,000
Construction cost is for Long Haul Transfer Station only. It does not include any
major infrastructure upgrades or facility construction for a Material Recovery
Facility.
2. ADA Compliance Projects:
Information will be provided at Council meeting by ADA Coordinator.
