RESOLUTION NO. 123 07
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Boys & Girls Club of the Big Island serve youths of all ages from its
facilities in Hilo, Kea`au, Pahoa, and Pahala; and
WHEREAS, in 2007, the Boys & Girls Club plans additional sites in Kea`au and Pahoa,
and will provide needed guidance to youths in these communities; and
WHEREAS, the Boys & Girls Club of the Big Island provide programs in health and life
skills, character and leadership development, the arts, education (homework assistance and
computer skills), as well as sports, recreation and fitness; and
WHEREAS, discretionary funds Council District 5 will be appropriated to the
Department of Liquor Control to be used as a grant towards the Boys & Girls Club of the Big
Island to enhance their youth programs; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC- Contingency Relief $20,000
CREIDTED TO:
010.251.5251.39 Department of Liquor Control $20,000

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Liquor Control and Director of Finance and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
