Dear Chairman Hoffmann and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Ms. Kim R. Garcia of Council District 7 to the
County of Hawaii Public Access, Open Space and Natural Resources
Preservation Commission. Ms. Garcia is a 37-year resident of Hawaii. She is
self-employed as an independent paper carrier for West Hawaii Today.
Ms. Garcia is an active scuba diver and paddler, and she has volunteered
extensively in the community. She states that she is not affiliated with any
political party. If confirmed, Ms. Garcia will serve an unexpired term to end on
December 31, 2009, replacing Jocelyn Garovoy, who resigned.
