RESOLUTION NO. x.32 U7
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND
FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S).
WHEREAS, an increasing number of adults within the County of Hawaii who cannot read or
write; and
WHEREAS, few programs and funding sources in the County of Hawaii focus solely on adult
literacy; and
WHEREAS, the Hilo Computer Assisted Learning Center which is housed in the Hilo Public
Library, helps adults to achieve the reading and writing skills necessary to gainfully function in our
society; and
WHEREAS, the Hilo Computer Assisted Learning Center provides services for adult from
East Hawaii through the Hamakua-North Kohala District, and is in need of funds to continue the
necessary services; and
WHEREAS, a $10,000 appropriation from Council District 1 Contingency Relief account will
be appropriated to the Department of Liquor Control to be used as a grant towazds the Hilo Computer
Assisted Learning Center; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred appropriated as set forth below:

AMOUNT OF
APPROPRIATION: $10,000
OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $10,000
CREDITED TO:
010.251.5251.39 Department of Liquor Control $10,000

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forwazd a copy of this resolution
to the Director of Liquor Control and Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is hereby
authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
