Subject: Support of Bill 22, the East Hawaii Reload Facility
Dear Council Members,
I am writing this in strong support of Bill 22, the East Hawaii reload facility
project. This is the environmentally preferable way of handling our trash.
We need to recycle as much as possible and not be burning it and polluting our
beautiful Hawaiian skies. We already have an air pollution problem when the winds blow
volcanic ash our way and the skies get grey, and Hilo gets "vogged" in. People get
headaches and feel sick. Imagine the result when incinerator emissions get trapped and
combined with that!
Please support this reload facility to recycle and appropriately handle our trash
as much as possible.
