Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 82-07, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 82-07, transmitted by Mayor Hazry Kim, via Communication No.195, dated
February 15, 2007, in accordance with Section 89-11 (e) and (g), for Council action authorizing
the appropriation in future fiscal yeazs of funds to cover the cost items awazded by the arbitration
panel to resolve the impasse between the employers and the Hawaii Fire Fighters Association
(HFFA) for Bazgaining Unit 11. The award covers the period from July 1, 2007 through
June 30, 2011.
The cost items presented for consideration aze across-the-board increases; step movements;
dinner meal allowance increase; uniform maintenance allowance increase; night shift differential
increase; and a second pair of station boots.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 82-07
and recommends its adoption.
