RE: Request for discussion of the Attorney-Client Privilege with
the Hawaii County Council
Our Entry No.: WRK 03-6524
The Office of the Corporation Counsel respectfully requests the
opportunity to discuss with the full Council the attorney-client privilege, the waiver
of the privilege (intentional and inadvertent), and a process for obtaining the
knowing waiver of the privilege in the future.
We ask the Council Chair agendize this communication for discussion at
an upcoming Council meeting. We respectfully request approximately 15
minutes for this discussion.
