RESOLUTION NO. 143 U7
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FIND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Culture & Community Arts
Division is in the process of planning the annual 4a' of July Fest; and
WHEREAS, the pre-fireworks entertainment will be held at the Mo`oheau Pazk
Bandstand, which will be followed by the Hawaii County Band; and
WHEREAS, the Culture & Community Arts Division will be adding several additional
viewing canopies for the public to use (free of charge), which will be strategically set up in the
Mo`oheau Ball Field, Makai Soccer Field, and in the Canoe area. There will also be an ADA
canopy set up at the Isle's area; and
WHEREAS, this yeaz Culture & Community Arts received a request from Rick
Fredricks of Hawaiian Arts to host a bazbeque cook-off at the Mo`oheau Bus Terminal azea. The
new addition to the 4~' of July Fest will enhance the overall event; and
WHEREAS, discretionary funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the
Department of Parks & Recreation, Culture & Community Arts Division to be used towazds the
4`" of July Fest; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-council SVC -Contingency Relief $5,900
CREDITED TO:
010.500.5517.21 Department of Parks and Recreation $5,900

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
