RESOLUTION NO. 1.54 t;i7
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Aloha Performing Arts Company was incorporated as anon-profit
501(c)3 organization in 1987 and actively provides live theatre and performing arts educational
opportunities to the West Hawaii community; and
WHEREAS, the Aloha Performing Arts Company uses the involvement of over 200
community volunteers of all ages in every aspect of preparing and presenting productions to over
10,000 people in 2006; and
WHEREAS, the Aloha Performing Arts Company provides performing arts education in
beginning theatre, teen production, voice, dance, and adult acting; and
WHEREAS, the Aloha Performing Arts Company provides an outlet for teens in a safe
environment and is developing relationships with several area schools to provide a performing
arts educational outreach on their campuses with programs target after-school theatre education,
dance classes, acting classes, and improvisation classes; and
WHEREAS, discretionary funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the
Prosecuting Attorney's Office to be used as a grant towards Aloha Performing Arts Company;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $12,000
CREDITED TO:
010.271.5271.14 Prosecuting Attorney's Office $12,000

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this resolution
to the Prosecuting Attorney and the Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is hereby
authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
