As a result of this, the Solid W aste Division determined that mid-sized <br /> excavators were needed at each landfill and we would like to include these items in the FY 07-08 <br /> budget. In addition to the excavators, the Solid Waste Division has determined that smaller roll- <br /> on, roll-off boxes and a corresponding sized truck would be the best option to operate the <br /> Miloli'i transfer station. While the 40 cubic yard roll-on, roll-offboxes and trucks already added <br /> to the budget could be used for Miloli'i or green waste and bulky goods collections, the smaller <br /> boxes would make hauling a bit easier on the steep, narrow road. <br /> Council member Jacobson has expressed his desire for us to increase the Household Hazazdous <br /> Waste and Electronic Waste programs as well as adding a Solid Waste Inspector to address <br /> illegal dumping.
