Comm. 259: DONATION OF A DRY ERASE BOARD (ESTIMATED VALUE OF $300) AND A CORK BULLETIN BOARD (ESTIMATED VALUE OF $200) TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION, ELDERLY ACTIVITIES DIVISION'S ELDERLY RECREATION SERVICES (donated by Tommy Hirano of Stationers) From Finance Director William Takaba, dated March 15, 2007, requesting the Council's approval of the above donation. Mr. Hirano generously donated an extra large dry erase boazd and an extra large cork bulletin boazd to use at Kamana Senior Center for the senior classes. These boards will be utilized for classes such as Ikebana, Hawaiian Language, Conversational Japanese, ukulele and other classes as an instructional aid. Serving the /nterests of the Peop/e o f.Our Is/and Hawai `i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer FC-9 Page 2 April 3, 2007 Comm. 260: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 06-79, AS AMENDED, THE (Bi1177) OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2007 {by appropriating an additional $100,000 to the Department of Reseazch and Development, Product Enrichment (Development) Program's account} From Finance Director William Takaba, dated March 14, 2007, transmitting the above bill. These additional funds will be used to support additional tourism product offerings on Hawaii Island, which do not generally fit in the County Product Enrichment Program. This will bring the total grant appropriation to $600,000. Comm. 265: A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION (Res. 113-07) OUT AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) (transfers $1,200 from the Clerk-Council Services Contingency Relief account, and credits same to the Department of Reseazch and Development's Hawaii County Resource Center, Miscellaneous Contract Services account, for the Community Enterprises Kailua-Kona Town Meetings) From Councilmember K. Angel Pilago, dated March 13, 2007, transmitting the above resolution. These discretionary funds from Council District 8 will be used to help fund Community Enterprises Kailua-Kona Town meetings, and defray some of the costs and expenses associated with providing such monthly informational meetings to the Kona community. Notice to Lobbyists: If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five days of becoming a lobbyist {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(b), Hawaii County Code}.
