AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 14 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY
CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION) AS AMENDED, BY ADDING A NEW SECTION RELATING
TO AUTHORITY OF THE MASS TRANSIT AGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 2, Article 14, Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition) is
amended to add a new section to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows:
2- Authority to adopt rules and regulations
The agency is authorized to adopt reasonable rules and reeulations as the
a_Qency deems necessary for the administration of the conduct of the
a_gencv's business includi~ rules and regulations for fees and charses for
permits for advertisements on buses Rules shall be promuleated pursuant
to Chapter 91 Hawaii Revised Statutes, as amended.
SECTION 2. Severability. If any provision of this Ordinance, or the application thereof
to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect other provisions or
applications of the Ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or
application, and to this end the provisions of this Ordinance are severable.
SECTION 3. New material is underscored. In printing this Ordinance, the brackets, the
bracketed material and stricken material, and the underscoring need not be included.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
