RESOLUTION NO. 163 U 7
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Police Department preserves the public safety; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department has established police stations and substations in
each district of the Island to protect the public and reduce response times in emergencies; and
WHEREAS, the police officers may be on-duty for longer than normal shifts and need a
place to rest, sleep, cook, and eat; and
WHEREAS, the Captain Cook Police Sub-station has an inadequate kitchen faciliTy that
lacks a kitchen sink, garbage disposal, stove, and appropriate cabinetry to house such amenities;
and
WHEREAS, discretionary funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the
Police Department for the Captain Cook Police Station Remodeling Project; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

010.101.5101.91 Clerk-CouncilSVC-Contingency Relief $5,000
CREDITED TO:
010.201.5212.02 Police Department $5,000
Kona Police OCE
(Captain Cook Police Station Remodeling Project)
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Chief of Police and the Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is
hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
Resolution.
