Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to submit the nominations of the following
people to serve on the Hawaii County Civil Service Commission:
• George R. Robinson, of Kona, who is a 26-year resident of
Hawaii and since 1991, has been the Land Manager with the
Kamehameha Schools-Bishop Estate. Mr. Robinson is a member
of the Kona District Soil and Conservation District, the
Kona Coffee Council, the Hawaii Farm Bureau, the
Kona-KOhala Chamber of Commerce, and the Tropical
Reforestry and Environment Education Center. He is a
member of the Republican Party.
• Bill P. Thibadeau of Hilo is a 45-year resident of Hawaii
and is presently retired. Prior to retirement, he was
President of Hilo Transportation and Terminal Co. He is a
member of the Rotary Club of Hilo and a member of the
Hawaii County Tax Board of Review, whose term will expire
on December 31, 1997. He is not affiliated with any
political party.
If approved, they will be replacing Harry H. Hasegawa of Kona,
and Jeanne E. Yagi of Hilo, whose terms will expire on
December 31, 1997, and both will serve terms to end on
December 31, 2002.
