Appointment of Margarita Ignacio to the County of Hawaii ~
Salary Commission
On April 17, 2007, the Hawaii County Council Committee on Finance
unanimously voted to file Communication 286, and approve the nomination of
Margarita Ignacio of Council District 5 to the County of Hawaii Salary
Commission. We expect this matter will be presented to the full Council on
May 2, 2007.
On April 24, 2007, our office received the enclosed email communication
from Ms. Ignacio, asking she be allowed to withdraw her name from
consideration.
We respectfully request the Council file Ms. Igancio's nomination, and take
no action with respect to her appointment. We will seek a replacement candidate
for presentation to the Mayor.

I would like to thank you and the Finance Committee for my nomination.
At this time due to unforeseen circumstances I am withdrawing my name for the Salary
Commission nomination. I really had strong desire to be a part of the Hawaii County
Commission and hope to be a part of it in the future.
