Dear Chairman Pilago and and Members of the Committee on Planning:
SUBJECT: SOUTH KOHALA STEERING COMMITTEE
Previously Mayor Kim nominated Ashley Goo to the South Kohala Steering Committee on
March 19, 2007. In the process of reconfirming his nomination, it was discovered that Mr. Goo
has withdrawn his request to serve on the South Kohala Steering Committee. I have attached
for your review, his a-mail request to withdraw his application, which was received in my office
on Friday, March 30, 2007.
Mr. Goo's confirmation was placed on the April 3, 2007 Planning Committee Agenda for
discussion and the confirmation scheduled on the April 18, 2007 full Council agenda. We are
asking that you please disregard his nomination and allow us to put forward another South
Kohala applicant to be considered at a later date. We are in the process of recommending
another individual to serve on the South Kohala Steering Committee and will forward a name to
the Mayor's office immediately.
