Dear Chairman Hoffman and Members of t11e County Council:
I am a resident of Hilo, East Hawau, on the Big Island of Hawaii. I am against the
proposed ordinance pertaining to affordable housing requirements. This bill would stop
small business owners fmm rebuilding or renovating. The 5nancial burden would put a
stop to small, locally owned businesses from expanding or existing. This bill might even
cause these small kama'aina busirlesfies to close up. Then the big businesses would
gobble up these parcels of land for their own tree.
Please do not allow this bip to pass. [urge all of you to do what is best for our
interests. Please keep small businesses in mind.
