The PCDP is <br /> making recommendations to this purpose as well. <br /> Puna District and the Pahoa Village area probably possess the most <br /> affordable land and housing in the county and state at this time. We <br /> (MSPA) do hope to improve the affordable housing potentials by creating <br /> appropriate zoning to encourage affordable housing investment. <br /> Bill 156 would appear to tax, and thus inhibit, the creation of local <br /> business parks which we sorely need. We believe that local business <br /> development should be encouraged, not discouraged, and that the <br /> availability of local job opportunities will increase the ability to <br /> afford housing. <br /> Could you please rebut our POV or provide logic that Bill 156 would not <br /> damage our hopes for the area? <br /> Respectfully, <br /> Rob Tucker, V.P.
