Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 67, reports as follows:
Bill No. 67, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 97-07 by Director of Finance
William Takaba, via Communication No. 233, dated March 6, 2007, amends Ordinance No. 06-
79, asamended, the Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2007. The amendment is as follows:

Tourism Strategy Plan
Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, requires that County departrnents need to
obtain the consent of the Hawaii County Council to enter into agreements with the federal or
state governments respecting action to be taken pursuant to any of the powers granted by law to
authorize the Mayor to execute a letter of agreement with the Hawaii Tourism Authority for
services related to the Hawaii County Tourism Strategy Plan.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 67 and
recommends it pass fast reading.
